PUPIL SLICER To Release Fleshwork Full-Length November 7th Via Prosthetic Records
Fleshwork is the latest release from PUPIL SLICER, and it sees the mathcore trio emerging refreshed, reinvigorated, and ready to step things up several gears. The album will be released on November 7th through Prosthetic Records.
During the pandemic, PUPIL SLICER offered up their debut album, Mirrors – a gnashing, feral affair that thrust them into the spotlight thanks to their discordant, angular DIY efforts. Sophomore album, Blossom, put more emphasis on songwriting and slicker production values as the PUPIL SLICER show truly hit the road. Fleshwork deftly combines the best bits of their previous releases, retaining the hook-laden song structures yet refusing to compromise on the acerbic energy that lured eager fans in from the very beginning.

What does obsession do to your mind? When you fixate on one particular person, place, or event, it clouds your thoughts, pollutes your feelings, and takes over your very being. You lose yourself and succumb to your basest instincts to pursue this obsession at all costs. BLINDFOLDED AND LED TO THE WOODS channels the extremes of a psychotic break into an ambitious sonic tableau of intricately airtight metal, eerie production, and insidiously memorable screams. Chicago’s MOTHERLESS will release their Do You Feel Safe? full-length on September 12th on Prosthetic Records. Featuring eight punishing tracks – including the searing singles “Weaponized Goodwill,” “Reptile Dysfunction,” and “Insect Politics” – this record doesn’t ask questions. It kicks the door in.
MOTHERLESS is rooted deep in the city’s longstanding tradition of doom and riff-driven metal. Formed by veterans of the local heavy scene – Stavros Giannopoulos and Alex Klein of The Atlas Moth and Gary Naples and Anthony Cwan of Without Waves – MOTHERLESS brings a raw, unfiltered sound that prioritizes weight and atmosphere over theatrics.
